Kordy
Another Earth native, Kordy was Fern’s friend at Greener U. and was won over by the positive energy that she saw in Lu and his new Earth Bug Crew. After her local beaches continued to close due to pollution, Kordy joined the Crew – ready to do something about it! Kordy’s a water bug and plays bass guitar when she’s not out shredding it up!
Earth Bug Fact Sheet:
- Position in the Crew: After Lu and Rock, everyone else in the Crew is an Eco-Pilot. An Eco-Pilot does a lot of the fieldwork and handles logistics for events and rallies and backs up Lu and Rock whenever it’s needed.
- Background/Education: Kordy was the second in the Crew to come from Earth (after Fern). She was Fern’s classmate at Greener U and was actually quite disinterested in the activities that Fern and his new friends were involved with. She was a skeptic. She couldn’t see that there was anything wrong with the way she was living and was fine with the way things were. When Kordy’s local beach kept closing due to pollution, however, she knew there was something wrong. As she began to participate in beach clean ups, she started to learn more and more about how pollution ends up in the ocean. The more she learned, the more she wanted to help make change. Kordy’s degree is in Chemistry so Kordy is constantly working on new ways to use cleaner, safer elements and ingredients in all the things we use on a daily basis.
- Demeanor: Kordy is spunky. She’s very competitive and loves to show up the others in the Crew when it comes to surfing and snowboarding. Kordy’s also very helpful and genuinely interested in helping anyone/everyone around her!
- Area of Expertise: Kordy’s love is water. Salt water, fresh water…Oceans, Seas, Lakes, Rivers and Streams. Kordy would be in the water all day if you let her. A keen understanding of the eco-systems there and what it takes to keep them healthy also accompany her love for water.
- Super Ability: Kordy is lightening fast!
- Can Take on the Form of: Water.
- Strength: Kordy is one of the few that can really handle the Oil Slicks.
- Weakness: Energy Spikes! Water and electricity definitely don’t mix!
Kordy
- Sport: Very athletic, Kordy has been on a board of some sort since she can remember. Her passion, however? Surfing.
- Favorite Type of Weather: Sunny and tropical.
- Art: Kordy is a minimalist and appreciates architecture
- Music: Anything that’s playing on KEXP (Seattle)!
- Instrument: Kordy plays bass (electric and stand up, acoustic)
- Food: Kordy loves sushi and Japanese noodle houses!
